Gangrene

Gangrene

My mother-in-law is currently in the hospital and has been there for over a month.  She was found unconscious with a blood sugar over 600.  Her food was infected and gangrene has set it so they amputated her leg.  Then they found her gall bladder to be infected and removed that.  It was found to have gangrene.  Although her white blood cell count has gone down (from 34,000 to 15,000) she is still complaining of pain in the abdomen.  The doctors contribute this to her not eating right.  She was on IV antibiotics but they took her off.  What I was wondering is if gangrene was in the gall bladder what would be the probablity that it spread elsewhere and could this be contributing to her abdominal pain.  Thanks

Gangrene isn't something to play, with I strongly suggest you take her back to the doctor.
