H. Pylori that's turned into malt lymphoma

I'm real confused about how this is treated. I was treated with the antibiotic cocktail when the found out about the H. Pylori and then the test was done again. When the biopsy came back it showed I had Gastric Malt Lymphoma. Once again I was put on the antibiotic cocktail again. Is that the normal treatment for this? The Dr said I had a extreme large amount of bacteria in my stomach. I've done some research on line and I am very worried. Please give some insight on this illness.

If the lymphoma is at an early stage, treatment is directed at the H Pylori gastritis - which includes two antibiotics and a PPI.

If the lymphoma is at a more advanced stage, radiation therapy and chemotherapy can be considered.

These options can be discussed with your gastroenterologist, or in conjunction with an oncologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
