Hemorroids

I'm 46, exactly two months ago I had a hemorrhoid flare-up, they are external (I don't know if there are internals also), they can be seen around the anal opening. During the first weeks I had pain and discomfort.  Now the discomfort only appears at the end of the day when they are swollen

There is no blood

I'm following a diet with lot of fiber (fruits, vegetables) and go regularly to the bathroom (once a day, after breakfast), without straining. The firts weeks muy doctor prescrived some venotonics. The only treatment I'm following at the moment is frequent sitz baths and the diet.  I've lost about 8 pounds since the thing started. The only additional symptom is some itching in the legs from time to time.

It is normal for a hemorrhoid attack to last two months?

What is the normal period (following conservative treatment) for the hemorrhoids to cure?
