Hepatitis B vaccine for children

Dear Doctor,
I was recently going over my children's medical records and I found that they did not receive the 3rd shot in their hepatitis B vaccine series, which they had about 2 or 3 years ago. (they were 3 and six at the time) Normally I an up to date on their shots but we moved. Can any harm come to them because of this? Is there any way possible they could contract Hepatitis B from this vaccine?  Is it possible this vaccine can in any way cause some type of liver cancer at any time in the future?  Is it better to simply avoid the hepatitis vaccine for children given the seemingly extremely slim odds they can contract this disease? Thank you very much for any answers you can give.  This has worried and confused me for some time.
