Hepatitis due to Liver metastasis

Hello
My mother is 56 years old. She is suffering from Breast Cancer with metastasis to Liver.
She had undergone 6 cycles of chemotherapy (docetaxel + epirubicin) and Modified Radical Mastectomy of the left breast in Aug 2007.
Sonography report show that the liver has multiple small and large well circumscribed hypoechoic areas in both lobes.
LFT shows
Serum Total Bilirubin  12.70 mg%
SGPT 142.90
SGOT 322.50
Alkaline Phosphatase  222.90
Albumin:Globulin Ratio 0.75
She is not able to eat food now and has been vomiting a lot.
Our doctor is saying that he can only give treatment to relieve the symptoms like vomiting but there is no other medicine to improve her health. The doctor is also saying that she may go into hepatic coma.
Can you please tell me if there are any medicines to prevent hepatic coma and to improve her health.

The liver enzymes are markedly elevated.

I cannot suggest treatment without knowing what the exact cause is.  Metastases from cancer certainly are a possibility. Other causes would include gallbladder disease, such as stones (however, the ultrasound would be seen this).  

If the diagnosis remains elusive, a liver biopsy can be considered.  

Getting a better explanation as to what is leading to the elevated liver enzymes should  be sought.  Once you have a cause, discussion of possible treatment approaches can be done.
