Hepatitus C

  My brother was diagnosed with Hepatitus (hepatitis) C 17 years ago,
  he has not followed up with health care and has drank alcohol
  heavily for at least 10 of these years, he now has developed
  what doctors are referring to as "Myopic Nuerapathy"
  is this a serious result of the hepatitus (hepatitis)? and is there
  any treatment for someone with Hepatitus (hepatitis) C
  who also has cirrohsis? What symptoms are present when
  someone is in the last stages of this disease?
