Hida scan results

Could a Hida scan test give different results during and after a gall bladder attack? Could the Hida scan indicate restricted bile flow during an attack while indicating improved flow after symptoms have subsided?

It is possible that the results can differ.  However, I am not a radiologist, so you may want to ask the opinion of one.

If there is blockages, caused by inflammation or a stone, then yes, the HIDA scan results will certainly differ during and after an attack.

Further tests, with an ultrasound or MRCP can be considered as well to further evaluate both the gallbladder and biliary tree.
