High Grade Dysplasia

With a short segment Barrett's and multiple biopsies, one biopsy showed a high grade dysplasia.  There is conflicting advice: Esophagectomy vs. survellance? What's your opinion?

Dear Bob,
High grade dysplasia in Barrett's esophagus is an indication for surgery.  If you want confirmation, you could have additional biopsies and see if there is more evidence for dysplasia.
