The upper and lower endoscopy are the most comprehensive tests we have to evaluate the upper and lower GI tract respectively.  If there is something serious going on, those tests would be able to find it.  Thus, in my opinion - the endoscopies are a reasonable next step to determine the cause of your symptoms.

However, if negative, you may want to consider malabsorption as a possible cause for your symptoms.  Sending off a blood test for celiac disease and stool off for fat malabsorption may be considered.

Another test to consider would be a 24-hr pH study to evaluate for GERD or an abdominal ultrasound to evaluate for liver or gallbladder diseases.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

I've been having many of your symptoms for months now. I started with what I thought was an ulcer and after an endoscopy, ct scan and ultrasound, I was told to relax.  I have been on prozac, lexapro and xanax xr. Now I have belching, strange stools and sometimes great anxiety.  Currently I'm taking Straterra, xanax xr and prevacid. So now after many blood tests, procedures etc.., I'm just sitting here thinking WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON??? All my Docs think I'm nuts.   Today, my neck got tense, my arms felt kinda weak, I've gone to the bathroom many times, my RUQ has a dull ache, and me feet feel sore. As days pass I get crazier and crazier imaging what is going on.

By the way, a few months back I did feel almost normal for a few weeks and that was after taking Cipro for 2 weeks for prostatitis.

PAJ,

Funny I took that questionaire you mentioned and have everything mentioned. Hmmmm. Maybe the Cipro I took for the Prostatitis did something to the yeast thing?

I have had acid that comes up in my throat and anxiety for years.  Just recently I have discovered that the cause of both of these ailments was an allergic reaction to food.  When I ingested milk, in particular, I would become extremely nervous, sometimes cry for no reason or have extreme mood swings, and/or mucous.  According to "The Yeast Connection" I had a brain allergy.  After I removed all milk products from my diet I was much better.  I am allergic to many foods, but I believe these conditions came from milk.  I don't know if this helps, but I hope so.  By the way, these types of food allergies do not show up in tests and yeast and sugar aggravate these conditions.
