Intestines Removed

7 ft of small & large intestine gone.  Have distended ab hernia.  Large graft now, abs need to be reconnected later.  Ab trauma from seat belt cut in HS head on collision.  Eat healthy food...doesn't digest.  Esp veggies, always diarhea (diarrhea), food looks same as it went in, tomato skins, broccoli florets, spinach, olives, onions, carrots.  concerned about nutrition uptake.  use blender, juicer, protein shakes, "sprectravite".  I blended broccoli and spinach into a smoothie...had green diarhea (diarrhea). Need a way to get enough nutrients b/c malabsorbtion & hypermotility.  Considering enzyme supplements or "Isosource VHN".  Any advice on better digestion, absorbtion, firm stools, nutrition would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Testing the stool for malabsorption should be done, as well as blood test for celiac disease.  Drinking a higher amount of vegetables can indeed lead to green stools.

I would also consider a colonoscopy to exclude inflammatory bowel disease or other lower GI tract disorders.

If negative, irritable bowel syndrome can be considered, as this would lead to changes in stool color as well.
