Liver problems??

Liver problems??

Help!
My hands are always bright red, swollen and painful.  They are red on palms, fingers, (especially the fingertips) and on the backs of hands too.  They are almost always cold even when super inflamed.  The veins are very blue and visable too. It has been going on without relief for two weeks. My feet are afflicted with the same problem but it doesn't seem as bad.  In addition I have new Spider telangiectasias on my face.   I have been to my doctor several times.  He has diagnosed me with Rosacea and I will be seeing a dermatologist.  I am terrified something is wrong.  I cannot help but think of partying  in college and the 5 years after.  The last 6 years or so I usually have a glass of wine (sometimes 2) with dinner. I am 35.  I haven't had a drop of alcohol in almost three months b/c I was so nervous to see Spider telangiectasias developing.  My doctor did a series of tests and all of my LFT's came normal

Also all Hepatits tests were NEGATIVE. I keep looking up  palmar erythema and it terrifies me.  Recently I have totally lost my appetite too. . My doctor says that there is no way I have cirrhosis, but I thought you couldn't tell that from just blood.  He said I would have other symptoms and while some LFTs might be normal, others would go up.  He will be refering me to a Rhuematologist. Lately, my Stomach has been bothering me.  (But normal ..i think stools and urine) I'm not sure if I am so anxious that it is causing other problems or just another symptom.  I cannot get over my bright red hands.

Am I obsessing or should I try to get a ultrasound.  My doctor did not think it was necessary.

The only definitive way to diagnosis cirrhosis is via a liver biopsy.

Imaging can suggest the disease.  If there continues to be concern, an ultrasound or CT scan of the abdomen can be considered.

These options can be discussed with your GI specialist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
