Loss of Appetite

Hi and thanks in advance for your time. I am a 39 y/o female without history of stomach/gallbladder/or other gastrointestinal problems. In the past few days it seems I have completely lost my appetite. I can easily say this has never happened to me before. I feel like I could go all day without eating.  Im not having any other symptoms, no stomach pain, nausea, feeling of fullness. I do eat because I start to feel a bit woozy if I dont. The food tastes fine, and I dont feel over full after eating a full meal. Its just nothing sounds good to me. Its been about 3 days like this. I am on 40mg a day of Propranolol and 20 mg a day of HCTZ. I have been on both drugs for a year now. This is a very odd sensation. Should I be concerned, of course the internet says one of the most common early signs of cancer is loss of appetite, which isnt very comforting, but Im wondering if it could be something else. And, yes, I do have stress in my life, but no more so now than usual. Any input is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Looking at the stomach should be considered if there are changes in appetite.  An upper GI series or upper endoscopy should be considered if suspected.  The upper endoscopy in particular is a fairly comprehensive test for upper GI cancer.

If negative, you can consider a gastric emptying scan.  This would look for gastroparesis which can lead to a decreased appetite.  

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
