Multiple Echogenic Lesions within Liver hx Barretts & MS

I have been in acute abdominal pain x 2 weeks.  A recent U/S of my abdomen has shown gallstones with wall thickening and pericholecystic fluid.  What is more concerning to me are the multiple echogenic lesions which are now presenting on my liver per the U/S report.  A prior U/S 1 year ago was clear.  Could these lesions just be hemangiomas?  I do have MS and am on my 3rd drug in 1 1/2 yeras. (Betaseron, Copaxone, and Rebif).  Betaseron is my current Medication.  I was also diagnosed with Barrett's 5 years ago.  I am only 40 years old.  I have recently lost some weight, but this could possibly be to my inability to eat due to the stomach pain.  I also have elevated LFT's (not too high). I am scheduled to have additional blood draws today amalyase and lipase and anticiapte I will be scheduled for removal of my gallbladder. An additional Pelvic U/S done at the same time also showed a hypertonic cyst or endometrioma.  Both reports suggested MRI for further evaluation.  Is this truely necessary?  I do not want to undergo an MRI if the liver lesions are more than likely hemanginoma's.

Thank you.

Hemangiomas are possible, but I agree that further imaging is needed to be sure.  I cannot give odds without seeing the test and reviewing the record.

I concur with the reports that an MRI indeed is the next reasonable step.
