Nauseous/Stomach Problems

(I hope this the correct forum)
Hi, I am 23 years old and need any help someone can give me. My symptoms are: I feel nauseous a lot. Almost everyday I would say. Some days a stronger feeling than others, some not so much. This has been going on for I don't know maybe a few weeks. Today the feeling of nausea woke me up. Never had happen to me before. Even though I have this feeling, I never throw up.

Lately I have also been feeling like I have no energy to do anything. I don't work or go to school, so I usually wake up at like 11am or so. I am saying that because I always feel like I can never eat anything. My diet as of late has basically been 2 small meals a day. But that's because when I wake up, I usually am not hungry and physically can't eat anything. So since I feel like I can't eat when I wake up for breakfast, the first time I would eat would be at around 1pm or so. Then after that I would eat dinner at around 6:30pm, but small portions (and also maybe one snack in between). I would love to eat more, but I just find it so hard to physically eat a meal and its tough. It's like a "I'm not hungry" feeling but I don't know why when I have only eaten so little.

I also get a lot of stomach aches. I went to a specialist for this a while back and he never really found anything significant. He did tests and all but in the end said nothing and gave me meds for stomach spasms I believe. But did not really do much I guess. Again that was a while back and just for a short period of time I took the meds. I have been doing OK with the stomach problems, but as of late(past few couple weeks) I have had aches and had to run to the bathroom constantly but never really make a real bowel movement(constipated I guess), either that or it is diarrhea.

I don't know if this would do with anything, but last month I think it felt like I had post-nasal drip. I don't feel it anymore but just thought maybe the mucus from that is making me feel this way? Thank in advanced!!

I would pursue further testing of the upper digestive tract at this point.

A variety of conditions can lead to this picture, including GERD, inflammation of the upper digestive tract, or an ulcer.

Starting with an upper GI series, or more comprehensively, an upper endoscopy would be a reasonable next step.

If those tests are non-revealing, you can consider more specialized tests like a gastric emptying scan, or imaging the abdomen with an ultrasound or CT scan.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Hi, I'm sure the doc will be giving you an answer soon.  I just wanted to tell you that, until you find out what is wrong with you and you get that fixed, there is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to help with nausea.  Ginger.  Go to the health food store.  Buy ginge capsules.  Make sure there are no other ingredients in the capsules but ginger.  Also, buy some candied ginger.  Dried ginger that has been rolled in sugar.  Again, there should only be two ingredients in this...dried ginger and sugar.  I hope this helps with the nausea until you get well.  Good luck!
