Pain in abdomen after pap smear

I had  Abdominoplasty surgery in April of 2008. I had a pap smear 9/22 (2 days ago) and now my abdomen hurts very much when I push around on it and just moving around. It feels as though I have done a ton of sit ups but I have not. It hurts from the top of my scar up to just below my breast. Should I be worried?

Can't say without examination.  Typically, a pap smear should not lead to such lasting symptoms.

Imaging the abdomen can be considered to exclude any adhesions or other conditions within the organs.  A CT scan can be considered, if warranted by your physician.

If the tests remain negative, going back to your surgeon to ensure there is nothing wrong with the abdominal wound can be considered.  

Otherwise, scar tissue from the surgical wound can lead to chronic discomfort.
