Pain in the Butt!!!

Pain in the Butt!!!

  Hi,
About 3 to 4 months ago, I was performing a Tae Kwon Do Kick and when i landed I felt a sudden Jar from my lower back
and right up. No real pain for about a week or so, then an incredible sore lower left back. About a week later it switched to
the other side. It finally seemed to disappear but then it came back in the front left pelvic area ( almost generating from the
testicle). This stayed sore for quite some time, with mornings being the worse. After about 2 months of this I finally went to a
Chiropracter who X-rayed my back and said that my lower spine was tilted slightly and that this would be causing my pains. I
am 39 Yrs young, and quite active (5 yrs TKD), but I now don't feel like participating in any active sports. The pain is mostly
in the same area, but sometimes a numbness in the tail bone area as well. The Chiropracter spent all his time on joint
manipulation, that unfortunately left me in more pain. I thought it had cleared up for a bit, but then the other day 2 things
happened...!. I slipped and basically did the splits. 2. Helped push a truck that had broken down. 2 days later.... Big time Pain
and Burning feeling???? I am getting a bit scared....Could this be symptons of other Problems? Will it clear up with continued
Chiropractic care? ( About 5 yrs ago, I had pain in the same front Pelvic area for a couple of months. The doctor just said it
was a strain.... but it was no where near as bad as this. Any advise would be very much appreciated.

P.S.: Also finding the Mornings my back is in extreme Pain for about and hour or so. My Bowel movements in the Morning releave the pain???? Why???? It seems that after I hav gone, my back feels better?
The Doctor has just told me that he suspects a Minor Hernia... I do not see a specialist for 2 Months!!!! Do the symptons make sense??? He found no bulge, better thought maybe he felt a bit of air when coughing.

Dear John,
Your symptoms are not suggestive of a gastrointestinal problem.  Having watched TKD advocates practice their forms and kicks, I am very impressed with how much strain they can put on their hips and backs.  Strain of the muscles in the lower back or a disc problem with pressure on the nerve rootlets could be the cause of your pains.  You may want to discuss with your physician the diagnostic benefit of radiologic studies of the lower back (CT or MRI).
Best of luck.
