Pappilary Stenosis

I was diagnosed with papillary stenosis in October of 01.  I went to Seattle and had a sphincterotomy done.  I was fine until about a month ago when I developed abdominal pain and fullness in the mid epigastric area.  Now I have to go back out to Seattle to have another ERCP with a furthering of my sphincterotomy and a possible stent placement.  Does anyone have any information to share with me about this?  It seems that I cannot get any straight answers from the medical profession.  Has anyone ever had to have a repeat sphincterotomy?  The GI doc told me at my first visit that some ppl have to have the duct rebuilt (sphincteroplasty).  Does anyone have info on this?  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  I had my gallbladder removed due to stones in 96 and I have had nothing but trouble since that time.  Pain, pain, and more pain.  I'm getting tired of it.  I'm starting to wonder if the surgeon didn't hack away at something that he should not have.  Thanks for listening.  Lorio
