Pemanent pain for 8 years.

  I have experienced a permanent light pain in the Right upper quadrant of abdomen for almost 8 years. The pain is mostly light
  but eventually from time to time gets more intense for two or
  three days. Some times more. The most intense pain seems to
  be around the lowest right rib and up. The sensation is like something would be ocupying more space that it should, and press from insides to outsides. I've been in many doctors and a t I've had done lots of medical exams with no cause evidence.
  My mother's family has several cases of gallbladder stones.
  Can my problem be related to the gallbladder? Can it be a genetic conscuence?

It is possible that you have gallstones but I would be reluctant to conclude that your pain is related to the stones, based on the information that you provide.  People with gallstones can present with biliary colic (aching pain located in the right upper abdomen that occurs approx 45 min after eating, increases in a step-wise fashion for about 60 min and then gradually subsides).  Gallstones can also present as severe abdominal pains.  It is unusual to have daily chronic pain as a manifestation of gallstones. Has your physician checked your liver tests to exclude liver inflammation/infiltration as a cause of your pain?  A relatively east way to check the region of the pain would be to perform an ultrasound study.  Gallstones may be evident, but remeber that their presence does not necessarily mean that the stones are the cause of your pain.
