Question on odd GI symptoms

Question on odd GI symptoms

About a month ago I was under an undue amount of stress.  I didn't really eat for a few days and was nervous about 24/7.  I developed some strange GI symtoms (symptoms) after this.

I started to get a "burning pain" in my extreme lower stomach.  I guess it could be intestines.  I don't know.  Also, when I'd get the burning I'd also get acid-reflux real bad, but not at other times.

Now, the pain is almost completely gone, but I have an extremely odd symptom:

Right before I have a bowl movement, I get queasy, or sometimes dizzy.  Not both.  Though it happens MOST of the time, it doesn't happen always.

What is strange is other than that I feel great.  I mean, I get the occasional nausea when the burning goes on, but I haven't lost weight, I have a great appetite, I'm not even CLOSE to being tired, and my stools aren't even close to being loose.

Now, I HAVE had a bunch of odd symptoms like this in the GI tract since I was 3, but not this particluar thing.  And I've had a bunch of tests run, although not recently.

Burning and nausea in the abdomen can be caused by a variety of conditions.  This can include ulcers, GERD, inflammation of the upper digestive tract, or liver or gallbladder disease.

An initial workup can include an upper endoscopy or upper GI series to evaluate the upper digestive tract.  An ultrasound can be considered to look for liver or gallbladder disease.

More specialized testing can be considered with a 24-hr pH test which can evaluate for GERD.

If the symptoms are lower down in the digestive system, you can consider a colonoscopy or CT scan to evaluate for any blockage or inflammation that can lead to the symptoms you are describing.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
