For about a month I've had an ache / cramp in my rectum off and on. It usually feels OK 1st thing in the morning and then is worse towards bedtime. I have no other symptons, everything is normal, no blood, bowel problems etc. Basic blood tests showed nothing abnormal, also PSA is OK. I've had some basic hemorrhoids on the outside but nothing major according to my doc. Could this be stress related or something structural gone wrong? I work out at the gym often but am also under considerable stress.

I also suffer from this very uncomfortable subject. Sometimes it will wake me up in the middle of the nite. I attribute it to hemmroids because when it occurrs I feel as though I have a buldge coming out of my rectum. (sorry for being so graphic but it's hard not to with this subject) I have both internal and external roids. The only thing that helps it go away is to sit in  a hot tub for about 20 minutes. It is very uncomfortable and feels like something is being pushed up my rectum. AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH the joys of life! I am interested to see
how the M.D. responds to your question.

I am concerned because for no reason I began having severe spasms in my rectum. These get so bad that I cannot walk nor can I sit. I have to remain standing until the spasm passes. I am worried because whenever I have a bowel movement there is a large amount of blood. Is there an explanation for this?
