I recently had my gallbaldder removed and I also only have one kidney.  I am interested in taking metabolife as an energy and dietary supplement.  It is an herbal pill, but I was not sure if there would be any negative effects on my healthy kidney or because of my recent gallbladder surgery.
I have included the ingredients for Metabolife in case they will help with your response.
Vitamin E 6 i.u
Magnesium (as Magnesium Chelate) 75 mg
Zinc (as Zinc Chelate) 5 mg
Chromuim (as Chromium Picolinate) 75 mg
Then a Proprietary Blend of 728 mg of:
Guarana Concentrate (seed) (40 mg naturally-occurring caffine)
Ma Huang Concentrate (aerial part) (12mg naturally-occurring
ephedrines)
Bee Pollen
Ginseng (root)
Ginger (root)
Lecithin
Bovine Complex
Damiana (leaf)
Sarsaparilla (root)
Golden Seal (aerial part)
Nettles (leaf)
Gotu Kola (aerial part)
Spirulina Algae
Royal Jelly
Other ingredients: Methocel, silica, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.
