I have been diagnosed with reflux into my esophagus. When it occurs
I develope a rapid heart beat, "chest pain and tightness", and high
blood pressure for a short period of time. I feel my doctor is very
competant, but just wanted to ask if these symptoms are "common"
with acid reflux. I feel as if I am having "The big one" when this
occurs. I would appreciate any opinions you have on this.
Thank you.
Ed C.
I have reflux and ibs I get not only the rapid heartbeats but skipping and chest pressure, and a full feeling in my chest, the whole thing I hate it it scares me everytime. I was told it was anxiety but i know it is related to  the reflux as I only have it with that,
I don't know if it helps but when i get this I take antacid and sooner or later it works and it goes away.I wish you well, Laurie
