: Back in September I was on vacation and developed fairly severe stomach pain. I didn't go to the doctor and it did finally subside after a few days. Later in December I suddenly noticed that my pulse would race with the smallest activity. I went to the doctor and found my BP to be 180 over 93. They had me do a blood test for thyroid and several other checks but nothing showed up. This also seemed to subside after a week or so. Then the stomach pain returned within days of the high BP. Antacid seemed to help and after a couple of weeks the pain went away again. Now I seem to have "ghost" pains throughout my torso. One minute my right chest will hurt and then it will stop. Next my upper groin will hurt and then stop. Then my back will kick in for awhile. The pain is not too severe but it is concerning. This has been going on for awhile "Three weeks or so" but I dont want to go in to the doctor without something tangable. Any input would be appriciated.

Dear Randy,
Migrating abdominal pains can be a very difficult diagnostic problem for your physician.  You did not state where you traveled for your vacation.  Gastrointestinal infections should be excluded as these infections can cause pains, nausea and change in bowel pattern.  It would be appropriate to be evaluated by your physician.
Best of luck.
