Reflux question

Reflux question

I posted a message about increased heartburn a couple of weeks ago. I have a followup: is it possible for reflux to cause a burning in the shoulder area? For a few weeks now ive been having a burning sensation right behoind my left shoulder. It usually seems to come when I get heartburn and go away when the heartburn eases up. Also is it possible this is an allergic reaction to food? I havent been eating anything different lately. Is it possible to develop an allergy to a food youve never had a problem with before?

Dear Chris,
the pain of esophageal relfux can simulate thast of heart disease and radiate across the chest, to the jaw and to the left shoulder.
