Seeking advice on a long period of nausea/ vomiting

Christmas day (2003) had nausea and vomiting, was told by my GP that I had a virus which everyone was getting. I was given an injection to stop the nausea as well as Stemetil and Lomotil. After approx 2 weeks I was able to eat again and no longer had the need for medication, however I experienced bloating whenever I ate. I was expecting this to stop however it did not

You have had a pretty comprehensive evalation - including ultrasound and endoscopy.  The question of delayed gastric emptying has been brought up.  More specialized testing can be considered to evaluate this.

This can include a gastric emptying scan - which would evaluate for the delayed gastric emptying.  Another consideration would be a 24-hr pH test with esophageal motility studies - this is a test which can determine if the GERD has resolved, as well as evaluating for any esophageal motility disorders.
