Sigmoidoscopy

- Just had a sigmoidoscopy done by  my military doctor. At one point of the procedure, I felt a stong pain in mys lower abdomen.
I screamed and the doctore eased the pain. Nothing elese happen after that. After the procedure i felt pain in the same area but it disappeared after a couple of days.  However, I noticed that now my need to urinate is more frequent. Before the procedure, I never had to get up in the middle of the night to urinate. Now I do so around 0300hrs. It is not an urgent need but I feel some pressure on my bladder enough to wake me up and feel much better after I urinate. When I do so, I pass a good quantity of urine

During the day I also urinate more frequently always with plenty of urine passed. Have not noticed difference on the way I urinate

During the procedure, the doctor checked my prostate and found it normal. My PSA reading have been always at 1.8.

My question is: could some damage have been caused during the procedure to cause my having to urinate more frequently and even at night? It just seems that my bladder cannot hold as much urine before giving me the sign to urinate.
