Strange symptoms

For aproximately 4 weeks I have been plagued by the following symptoms which my doctors can not seem to diagnose to date.

- Nausea (Often worse with eating or drinking)
- Excessive Burping (Seems to relieve nausea at times)
- Diarrhea alternating to Constipation
- Small Narrow stools
- Stools seems very soft. (Tend to dissolve when flushing toilet)
- Headaches (Were present when symptoms started but have dissipated over time)

I am a 25 year old, usually healthy male with no family history of cancer or heart problems.  Originally I was sent to a neurologist who ruled out intracranial problems by conducting an MRI which came back normal.  My General doctor also conducted a cbc blood test which was normal as well as an ekg.  He told me that I likely have a virus and I should just rest until the symptoms go away.  What concerns me is the symptoms are not resolving at all.  Any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance.

My friend's mom was allergic to MSG and she had more than half of your symptoms whenever she ate chinese food. MSG can be in lots of things, not just chinesefood. Are you of Jewish decent? There are some metabolic diseases/conditions that affect only certain ancestry types. I can't think offhand the diseases but one of them I think is Celiac's disease. I hope maybe this was of some help. Maybe you are lactose intolerant???????? Anything is possible. If you aren't getting answers go to a teaching hospital ER then if they can't figure out what is wrong in the ER they will send you to a specialist. I have been through this recently (not with your symptoms  ) but with a whole other issue and they really helped me now I have a good MD. Good Luck!
