Upper GI Reading

Posted By S.AUSTIN on February 27, 1998 at 09:01:21:

I had a upper GI peformed in 1988 in which the results were normal except for the findings of a small pulsion diverticulum in the midthoractic esophagus.  What does this mean?  I found this information in my medical records that I requested from my old insurance company.  After my upper GI, I was told that everything was normal.  I have a concern about this because I was recently placed on Naproxen EC 500mg for inflammation,  possible arthritic conditions and possibile costocondrists.  I read that a possible side effect of Naproxen is that it can cause gastrointestinal problems.  Will this medication hurt me more than help me?
Thanks for your help
