Wakng Up With Abdominal Pain.

I am 27 years old, and for the past few months i've been waking up in the morning with tightness and soreness in the center of my abdomen, directly below the sternam. i notice once i get up and walk around, the pain subsides. The tightness in the part of the abdomen remains in a smaall capacity most of the day.

Had a bout of gastroenteritis a couple of years ago. Not sure if that is a helpful piece of info. What could this pressure be? treatments?

I would consider various upper GI disorders, like GERD, an ulcer or inflammation of the upper digestive tract.  Gallbladder or liver disease can be considered as well.

An upper endoscopy/upper GI series can be considered.  If negative, an ultrasound can be considered to evaluate the liver and gallbladder.

I would also obtain a blood test looking for H Pylori.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
