Weird pain

Hello Experts,
I hope this email finds you well. I have a bit of a dilemma. About 2 days ago I started getting this pain in my right side of my "stomach" area that kind of shoots to my side. Its a pinching pain. The problem is I cant pin point the pain. Whenever it comes I try to touch that area to find out where its coming from but I cant seem to find it. The pain is not all the time. Its as if i wont have any pain throughout the day, but at the end of the day (like yesterday) it'll go on "attack mode" and start pinching me, not constantly, but randomly. My stomach, as of recent has also been growling whether its full or not. But the growling is all the time. Whenever I curl up in a ball (because I have lower back problems) I feel like there is air in there that is stuck, that isnt so causing pain, but is just uncomfortable. Last night I was releasing a lot of gas, yet I am still very concerned why this is happening. I have not developed a fever, nor do I really have constipation or diarrea (diarrhea).  I still have an appetite as well. Could this be the begining of the end? I know that sounded ultimately negative but I am slightly worried. What is this pinching pain?

Can't say without examination.

Imaging the abdomen, and looking for problems in the liver and gallbladder can be considered.  An ultrasound or CT scan would be a reasonable place to start.

Various types of upper GI conditions, including inflammation of the upper digestive tract, GERD, or an ulcer can be considered, and evaluated with an upper endoscopy.
