What could cause this inflammation?

What could cause this inflammation?

My gastro dx me with Barretts Esophagus after an EGD.  The EGD also showed polypoid lesions in the antrum (bottom of my stomach).  The dx of that was "mild chronic inflammation."  What would cause all this inflammation?  I do have GERD and am taking 40 mg of Nexium every day.  I have colitis as well (yes, turning 30 was definitely not kind to me!) and it just seems that I have this inflammation from my esophagus to my colon.. I don't know what I can do for it. I am awaiting the results of a small bowel series to rule out Crohn's Disease.  Any thoughts would be appreciated..

Thanks everyone,
Pixie

Search this site for symptoms and disease, its an EXCELLENT Site for all medical questions.

And by the way, >(BTW)< At age 35/male I just had a Colectomy, look it up on the site under Surgery's.   But my Colostomy is only temporary!   I hope your problem is much, much, less severe than the one that caught me off guard!
