Dear Yang,
Lamivudine and famciclovir are currently being studied to determine their role in the treatment  of chronic hepatitis B infection.  At present, most physicians in this country would only use these medications if they were investigators in a research study to determine the efficacy of treatment.  The drugs are not approved for treatment of Hepatitis b infection.
