When the liver is strained.

When the liver is strained.

Hi, well basically I would like to know what it means when you get yellow around the mouth, that is, where it looks a slight yellow in colour.

I think it has something to do with the liver being strained. I regularly go to the gym and take a few supplements like creatine and protien. Anyone that knows anything about creatine will know that it's best taken with a high glycemic sugar like dextrose. I think that it's the dextrose that's causing the yellowness and would like to know if it's really that serious, this yellowness around the mouth, and if it justifies not taking any more creatine. (Though creatine is probably the best sports supplement around)

Thank you for your time and help.

Marco

Hi Marco
To put your own mind at ease, you may want to monitor your kidneys and liver (through simple blood tests that your doctor can give you), while you take this creatine.
