bowel trouble

hello: I have this problem for a lot of years. When i move my bowels , i wipe myself clean but after a bit of time a little more seeps out and  have to return to bathroom to wipe again. And after an hour i might have to go in an wipe again, and so on.   I wonder if anyone else has this problem. I think it comes from irritable bowel but I AM NOT SURE. My family doctor seemed a little baffled by it. I hope someone can give me an answer. I had this since years and am tired of it. thank you

Any type of colorectal lesion or mass can lead to this symptom.  Excluding a mass is the first priority.  This can be done via a colonoscopy.

If negative, I would see a gastroenterologist.  More specialized tests can be considered, including an anorectal ultrasound or manometry tests.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

I have this EXACT same problem. I've also had a colonoscopy that was just fine. I'd be very interested to know what could be causing this. I'm a 36 y/o male.

Can hemroids cause this? Anything else that wouldn't turn up on a colonoscopy? Any nerve or muscle issues?
