chronic constipation for 2 years question again (posted and was replied to below)

Hey, thanks for the response.

I accidentally said I had a colonoscopy when I really just had a rectal examination.  Sorry about the mixup.  Does that change anything?  Is it most likely liver disease or gluten intolerence? (cannot remember disease name) or is it possibly something more serious like colon cancer?  Or is that too rare in a 22 year old?  Thanks again

If you haven't had a colonoscopy, one should be done.  Anatomical strictures or masses needs to be ruled out first.  A rectal exam is not comprehensive enough to rule out these possibilities.

Gluten intolerance (celiac disease) normally causes diarrhea as opposed to constipation.   If suspected, a blood test can be ordered to look for this.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
