constant rumbling

constant rumbling

My story starts 6 days ago. This may not be related at all, but I had a gum infection by my wisdom tooth. This went untreated until one day I woke up to find that the swollen infection had burst in my mouth at night. This was gross. I went to the dentist and he gave me penicillin, which I began taking. the next day, I saw one of my testicles behaving funny. The one on the right side (from my perspective) seemed to be much higher than the other and in a way, hyperactive, raising very high when I contracted my abdomin (abdomen) as compared to the other one (I understand this can be be normal, however, it was behaving in a manner different from what it has been for the last 24 years). I went to my doctor and she performed a hernia check and just to ease my mind, a testicular ultrasound, the tech said in her opinion, everything looked normal. I do have still some small soreness in the testicle area, but i assume that is from my constant examining of the area and also from the ultrasound tech. my testicle seems ok now but over the next few days I developed the following symtoms (symptoms):
1. Constant, audible rumbling in left hand (from my perspective) side of abdomin (abdomen) just below ribs.
2. Loss of appetite (this is very concerning, it is VERY unlike me, im 5' 9" 265 overwieght, marijuana smoker, i usually eat several times per day, probably too much)
3. General feeling of bloating, distention
4. Small, barely detectable, infrequent pain in perenium area
5. Darker urine occasionally, despite drinking plenty of water.
6. Very unusually smelly flatulence and bowel movements.
(all of these symtoms (symptoms) are more present when sitting, as opposed to standing or laying down)
I dont have much pain with this condition

I have never taken Penicillin (which I ceased when my testicle started acting funny) Could this have caused gastroenteritis or something?

What i do NOT have:
Blood in my stool (at least not visually detectable)
Painfull urination
Pain in the abdomin (abdomen).

Any ideas?

There are a variety of symptoms that can be attributed to many conditions.  Left sided pain, along with a feeling of bloating and distension can be caused by upper GI conditions, like an ulcer or inflammation of the upper digestive tract.

An upper GI series or upper endoscopy can be considered.

I would also imaging the abdomen with a CT scan, to evaluate the pancreas and spleen.

Darker urine can be caused by a blockage in the biliary tree.  An MRCP can be considered if this is suspected.

Regarding the lower GI symptoms, like the pain in the perineal area, I would consider a colonoscopy.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
