cramps in my left side

About 1 week ago i develpoed a stomache problem. the doctor said it was a pulled abdomen muscle and i also pulled a spinal muscle. During this time i have had a crampy feeling in the far left side and also above my groin area. I have also had extreme gas and some diarreha.  After i eat is when i feel most bloated.  I also felt this way 2 weeks back during my final exams for college and recently graduated from it as well.  I'm not sure if maybe stress is playing a major part in this as well.  I also have changed my diet to more vegtables and fruits to around 5-10 servings daily which is a majot change from my college diet of fast foods.  I have not really lost my appetite either i eat my 4 -5 meals a day. My body feels otherwise great other then this cramped feeling in my left side.  At times i can feel pain between my ribs as well.  I have also developed a cough which goes away when i sleep nor does my side pay wake my from sleep in usually decreases when i go for a walk or exercise. Thats basically it any help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be stress combined with an abdominal muscle pull. The only way to know for sure is to be evaluated by a physician.
