  I was wondering if you could tell me, I have a hiatal hernia if
  this could be causing my problem after I eat I have discomfort in my stomach and back that last for hours with mid abdominal pain
  constipation, like my food is not digesting good I have had an
  EGD and ERCP gastro doctor could not find anything I also had my
  gallbladder took out 7mo. ago I was having some problems before
  surgery but not as bad as now is it possible to have a bowel
  obstruction I need a second opinion. Thanks Sarah

Dear Sarah,
Hiatal hernias are common findings and usually do not cause any symptoms. While it is unlikely that you have obstruction ( usually presents with severe pain and vomiting) it is possible that you have delayed gastric motility.  To investigate your sym[tpms, you should discuss with your physician the possibiliyu of having a radioisotope gastric emptying study and a barium small intestine study,
