elevated lipase.. still no diagnosis

Hi there,
I am a 21 year old female, do not smoke, generally healthy, do not drink.  I am dealing with an elevated lipase issue.  In September of last year (2009)  I was having pellet like stools and they were quite hard to pass.  I thought that maybe it was not enough water or fiber. I experienced a "cramp" like pain an inch to the right of my belly button.  It felt like a cramp you experience from running but this cramp stuck around for 4 hours.  I went to the hospital and they found that my lipase was elevated.  The doctor told me that it was nothing.  The next day I tried to go crunches at the gym but it seemed to hurt the same area.  Nothing happened for a while after that.  Around November I experienced this same "cramp" pain but lower. Once again went to the hospital and they told me that my lipase was elevated. (Normal levels 10-60U/L mine were 190 U/L).  He ordered an ultrasound as few days later.  The ultrasound result came back normal.  I then experienced pain every time I ate right in between my breast bone.  It would switch back and worth from the front to the middle of my back and it felt as if something was squeezing and would let go and then it would squeeze again.  I took my blood test and ultrasound results to my doctor and he told me that he was sending me to a specialist.  I have since then had several blood tests, all of which show elevated lipase levels (normal 30-300 U/L mine is between 850-950 U/L) and a slight amylase elevation (normal is up to 110U/L mine was 180U/L).. I have noticed some mucus in my stool. I am still seem to be able to drink coffee, eat candy just fine, except for the occasional nausea. I sometimes experience pain under my breast bone but I am not sure if this is related or if its a muscle related pain.  My question is.. I do not have the typical acute pancreatitis symptoms such as extreme upper left abdominal pain with nausea and/or fever etc.  so what could this be?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Butterfly
You are probably having "Pancreatitis" (more of chronic/ relapsing type). Please consult a Gastrophysician
