elevated liver enzyme

     Hi im 32 year old male. Back in July, my blood test indicated elevated liver enzymes, so the doctor ran the other blood test to see if i have hepatitis,etc,  but it came out negative, then the doctor had me go through another test, i think cat scan.(im not sure what its called in english) where they viewed my liver on screen to see the inside. then they said it is all clean.The doctor said he doesnt know what the cause of the elevated liver ,as i do not drink (never have) or smoke or drugs or any other things that may cause it.
     Last week I went back to the hospital and got tested again and the result indicated that the elevated liver enzyme got even worse than before. Since my previous test in July, Ive done best I can to lower the liver enzymes, I ate better diet than usual,(Ive always been on a good diet, I exercise, and in most healthy shape and never had any medical conditions)  
   The doctor recommended that he will test again after 4 months and if the condition does not improve that he will do some other test ( i dont know what its called in english but more  serious testing of the liver )  but my doctor  doesn't have any idea what the cause of the liver elevation is.  I was wondering if you have any opinion on what the causes may be, and if it could lead to anything serious, such as AIDS( as Ive had unprotected sex)? I agree with the CT scan as well as tests for hepatitis.  

Further imaging with an ultrasound or MRI can be considered to exclude intrinsic liver disease.  HIV testing as well as tests for other diseases like autoimmune hepatitis or hemochromatosis can be considered.  

If the liver enzymes continues to rise, consideration can be made for a liver biopsy.
