Everyones stool has a slightly different "caliber" shall we say.
Colon cancer is typically associated with a "Change" in bowel habits or the presence of blood in the stool. A colonoscopy is the "gold standard" procedure to rule out colon cancer/polyps/hemorrhoids. I have never heard of hemorrhoids causing a change in the size of stools. There are other conditions such as ulcerative colitis which can be associated with changes in the size/consistency of bowel movements. Again, these could be diagnosed through a colonoscopy.
