help put a name to my 19 year olds problem

About 6 weeks ago my daughter was diagnosed with erythema nodosum on her legs. She was also found to be anemic. She then found blood in her stool about a month ago and it lasted for about 1-2 weeks. Along with this is discomfort in her left abdomen. They have done a colonoscopy on her to rule out crohns and IBS and the colon looked healthy and normal. They have also done an upper GI series with barium to look at the small intestine and the stomach, which both came back normal. This Friday they are doing a mechels(?) x-ray to look for a pocket in her small intestine and they are going to follow with a CAT scan to look at her abdomen. Do any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? I feel we aren't getting anywhere. She has had bleeding only once in the last 3 weeks otherwise she only has the dull ache on her left upper abdomen. Any ideas?

Please look at my listing under the Forum for Family Practice regarding my 4  yr-old with an undiagnosed illness. He was given a meckles scan last year as well as all the other tests you mention. What other symptoms does she present with?  My heart and prayers go out to you.

I have sharp pains on my right side under my ribs and sometimes travels to the left side.  I just had an upper GI with the barium and also a hida scan.  My doctor just called yesterday and told mt that I might have to get my gull bladder removed.  Ask your doctor if she can get a hida scan done.
