high white blood cells

I have asked the doctor for a blood test because of brusing easy to see if i needed more iron.  The blood test came out with high white blood cells.  he said, it was because of a fall I had.  I went back again because of my hair falling out about 300 or more.  He said its normal.  Went back again for another test because my hair was still falling out.  
The blood test came out higher with the white blood count.  Told me it should be find, and made me an appt. with a skin doctor.  My white bood count is 15.2, and they don't know why?  I do take vit. every day, I'm 38 yrs. old female.
