About 1 month ago i believe i started having a muscle spasm in my stomach.  i did not strain any muscle in my stomach.  I have the feeling of muscle fluttering (not nervous flutters) its hard to explain.   I not sure if i should be concerned or not. Also i do not have any added stress in my life or no change in my eating habits.

These spasms are right on the top of my stomach.  the spasms started once in awhile or every couple of days for about 3 weeks which increased to everyday 2-3 or more a day.  Now for the last 4 days i have ben having them about every 15-30 minutes.

there is no pain when this happens, no food makes this happen, no drinks of any kind trigger this, no heartburn, no shortness of breath.  i have no other symptoms with this.  no GI problems.

I have never had anything like this before.  Please if you have any suggestions i am open to advice.

Thank You

I would further evaluate the upper GI system for a variety of conditions that can lead to the symptoms.

An ulcer, inflammation, GERD or anatomic abnormality can lead to some of the symptoms you describe.

I would suggest an upper endoscopy or upper GI series as an initial test.  An ultrasound can also be considered to evaluate the liver and gallbladder.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
