i Cant Eat. Ive been trying to gain weight for 7 months

I Cant eat. Its like work.
I work nights so i usually get up around 1-2 in the afternoon which doesnt help my eating habits.
I also smoke weed, i can never eat unless i smoke first.
I dont know if its a mental thing, but times when i try to eat ill chew my food and then my body wont allow me to swallow it
I feel like throwing up and have to spit the food out as soon as possible.
I can never eat a large amout. Unless i smoke.
Usually when i wake up, the only thing i can eat is a banana
Or maybe a yogurt.
But i can always eat pickles. My cat literally eats more.
Eating 1 meal a day is hard.
Ive tried drinking ensure for over 2 months, but it just makes me lose any appetite for food.
Im not anorexic, but ive been trying to gain over 5 pounds for half a year and all im seeming to do is lose more.
Help. I really want to avoid having intubation.

I would examine the upper digestive tract, first looking for any blockages preventing you from eating.

An upper GI series or upper endoscopy would be reasonable initial tests.

More specialized considerations would be an esophageal motility disorder, or gastroparesis, which can be evaluated with a motility study or gastric emptying scan respectively.

These options should be discussed with a GI physician.
