ibs or what?

i have been dealing with abdominal pain,bloating,constipation,diarreha,back pain , flank pain,excessive gurgling,acid refluk ,burning sensations, muscle spasms within the abdomin (abdomen), i have also seen many doctors and specialists, and all come up with the same diagnosis.   i have had extensive testing done such as-multiple ct-scans,hidascan,egd,2 colonoscopyies,complete blood work up done many times,e-rays, mri,ekgs,eeg and all come back perfectly normal,and to top it all off i have a severe generalized anxeity disorder, sometimes i am in debilitating pain , whether its from ibs or anxeity. or both.  it is hard to live with day after day. the doctors are at a loss, they flat tell me it is ibs and that there is no other reason do anymore testing ,and that my anxeity is causing everything i feel which i have many other symptoms that move around threw out my body, that come and go .the problem that i am having is that i can't believe ibs or anxeity can cause this much pain .     please i need some advise or reassurance on this matter

I agree with the workup thus far, and it has been extensive.

More specialized tests can be considered at this time.  This can include sending the stool off to exclude malabsorption and blood tests to evaluate for celiac disease.

If the tests continue to be normal, optimizing treatment for IBS should be considered.  Antispasmodic agents, antibiotics like Rifaximin and tricyclic medications are all treatment options.

These can be discussed with your personal or GI physician.

forgot to mention abnormal bowel movements such as flat,narrow,corkscrew,and pencil thin stools , and sometimes i will have the urge to go and nothing but clear thick like mucous comes out

also had ultrasounds as well,the only thing that came back from the biopsies from the colonoscopy was that i had very very mild chronic inflammation,not enough for colitis, even tried ibs diets , and that didn't help either..  sorry!   kinda been threw a lot ,  hard to remember it all
