mucous and diarrhea

I'm a 30 year old female who has been suffering from chronic diarrhea for
over two years.  I absolutely cannot eat without knowing where a
bathroom is located.  Lately, In addition to the cramping, my symptoms include
mucous in the stool.  I had my gallbladder removed three years ago.  My
weight gain has been rising some as well.. from 159 to 175 over the last
two years.  This concerns my family physician, who thinks I may need
my thyroid levels checked.  I am currently trying to have a second child, and have
miscarried about three  months ago.  Can any of my symptoms be related???
Could thyroid problems be linked to the diarrhea??  Could gallbladder
removal have any affect on digestive functions??  Can thyroid problems cause
difficulties in getting pregnant?? I've been trying for over a year.
Thanks for helping... I feel I need an education on these issues
