nausea

nausea

Hello. My name is Lisa. I have been feeling quite sick to my stomache for about 4 months now. I have had alot of blood work done but found nothing. The doc wants a sonogram of my gallbladder, says thats probably causing me to feel sick in my stomache. I have gained weight thinking if I eat the feeling will go away but it doesn't. I am not pregnant either. Sometimes I get terrible pain in my stomache, I think it is just gas pain and I have to sit for a while. Would I feel nausea from something wrong with my gallbladder? I feel this everyday and the doc put me on prevacid but not working. Thanks! Can't seem to find much info anywhere.

That sounds like what was going on with me. Watch what you eat. If you are eating something fatty, that usually triggers the gallbladder to flare up. That is if it is your gallbladder at all. I had mine out May of last year.  Anything fattening I ate, it about killed me, BUT it took me 2 months to figure out what it was. It took them 4 months of tests, etcs. to figure it out. I basically ate all bland foods. Pasta cooked w/oil, parmesean cheese.  Plain baked potatoes.  Toast..yogart butter. No butter.  Hope this helps.

Hi:

I have had the nausea problem since August and they have not been able to find anything wrong with me either. Gallbladder ultrasound normal, upper GI normal, blood work is fine, etc.. tested for celiac disease that was negative.. The doctor wants me to get tested for lactose intolerance and thru BetterHealthUSA I got a blood test for food allergies as they list nausea as a symptom that you have a food intolerance. Right now I'm waiting to get those tests results back. I have found that alcohol, caffeine, fatty foods make the nausea worse so I would try staying away from that to see if it helps.

Good Luck!

Hi i had those symptoms before i had my gall bladder removed.  I had Pancreatis (pancreatitis) caused by my gall bladder problems.  This is something you may want to check into or atleast ask your doctor about it.
