raised ALT AST and GGT

I have just got my LFT results back my results were
ALT 75
AST 56
GGT 110 All my other results were normal as were my urine results.
I have been experiencing a very dull sensation under my rib cage and under my shoulder blade on the right hand side. I also occasionally have tan light brown stools and if I eat a very fatty meal I feel slightly nauseous.  I haven't drunk for weeks or and not regularly for years (I previously had elevated results it was believe due to alcohol). I went on a stag weekend two months ago where I drank. Could this be the cause of my results or has the alcohol consumption masked another problem with my liver? Could something else be irritating my Liver such as my diet, chemicals, etc.

Thanks,

Dan

You can consider further evaluation.  Elevated liver enzymes as well as light stools can be suggestive of biliary duct obstruction or gallbladder disease.  Alcohol or liver diseases are also possible.

A liver ultrasound as well as blood tests for hepatitis would be reasonable tests to start.

If the tests are non-revealing and the enzymes continue to be elevated, you can consider a biopsy for a more definitive diagnosis.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
