reflux?

reflux?

had problem a yr. ago - whenever I would eat I would vomit.
I could however eat any "junk food" I wan't but as soon as I would eat "Real food"  I would feel naseas until I vomited.  I did not feel pain however I would feel a pinching sensation below the breastbone in the center and over to the right.  I would not have any heartburn.  I went for endoscopy  where bacteria H-polori was found but no ulcer.  I had upper Gi- test where they put dye in me for gall bladder, MRI  and was told it was reflux.  I was given Prilosac, Propulsid and Biaxin.  I still had same symptoms.  After a couple of months I had a reaction to the medication - hallucinating, stuttering, and numbness on left side of body.  I threw away all medication and two days later all symptoms were gone.  Now a year later it's starting again!  Went to a new doctor  who seems convinced that because I did not have a lot of pain and cold hold down junk food that I do not have reflux  ( which the previous doctor sais I did )  Just went for more bloodwork and may have to have another endoscopy.  Thinks it may be related to migranes (migraines) (which I told him I don't get) or stress ( which I also told him I don't have )  I think maybe the bacteria is back and just need to get rid of it.  Please give your opinion.

Dear Michele,
Thank you for your recent letter describing your symptoms.  Your problems are not typical for reflux disease.  With regard to your question as to the recurrence of H. pylori infection, the answer is that a small number of people can have recurrence of infection after the organism has been eradicated.  About 1-2% of people with cured infection can become reinfected.  More likely, however, is the possibility that the antibiotic treatment did not eradicate the infection.
It is important to note that the National Institute of Health Concensus Conference recommends treatment of H. pylori infection only for people who have documented ulcer disease.  Although there have been reports that H. pylori eradication improves the symptoms of nonulcer dyspepsia, this point is controversial.  Some doctors will treat H. pylori nonulcer dyspepsia oly in the context of a research study.
I hope that this information will help you.  This material is provided for educational purposes only and should not be considered a medical evaluation.  You should contact your personal physician for specific questions.
